The Rose Well Spa and Guesthouse is owned and operated by Frank and Dorothy Marsden and their family. Each person employs their unique talents to ensure that guests will want to return for another stay. Since 1996 this rustic country getaway has accommodated couples seeking to spend time romancing together without their children. The family also welcome single guests needing a sanity break and small groups of ladies who know they deserve a touch of spa pampering. There are 7 en-suite rooms. Two of them are attached to the main thatched house and have garden entrances; two are in an adjacent building; and two newly converted farm buildings close to the spa therapy rooms have spa corner baths in their bedroom areas. With the exception of one unit that has a king-sized bed, shower and fridge, each room has one queen sized bed, a bath, colour TV, hairdryer, heater/fan, coffee/tea tray and kettle, and outdoor seating area. There are no self-catering facilities or braais.

On-site recreational facilities enable guests to spend quality time together, enjoying wholesome meals, indulging in health-promoting or pampering spa treatments (additional charge per treatment) or simply resting. All the staff are happy to advise guests on how to access the Magalies Meander's many tourist facilities, which range from candle-dipping to horse-riding or micro-lighting.

All overnight guests have free use of:

• Heated indoor spa plunge pool from 9am - 6:30pm daily.
• Outdoor cold-water swimming pool.
• Outdoor mineral therapy ponds for DIY magnesium salt treatments. Swimming costumes must be worn. The mineral creme can be purchased at reception.
• Open-space lapa with small gym equipment and ¼ size snooker table.
• Lounge with chess table, board games, jigsaw puzzles, books, magazines, library and binoculars for bird-watching.
• Refreshment station for fruit, water, tea and coffee.
• Cargolas.
• Secure parking.

Ryan, with his wife, Salomien, and their friendly team of therapists offer guests the option of whether to enjoy the wellness spa as an add-on activity during a stay. This includes:

Spa therapies and services, such as:

• Hot stone, Swedish or aromatherapathy massages.
• Steam room as part of therapies.
• Vichy shower as part of therapies.
• Jet baths.
• Wraps
• AHAVA facials.
• Hand and foot spa massages.
• Outdoor magnesium salt therapy. Ryan or a therapist will advise couples how to apply the mineral cream they purchase from reception. The therapy involves bathing in the outdoor mineral salt ponds in the garden next to the guesthouse lapa.
• A clean, safe and nurturing spa environment.
• Private treatment rooms for each client receiving a treatment.
• Professional spa products.

For spa therapy rates please contact us! Please note that no-one under the age of 16 may receive a massage. If additional time is required to massage people with very large frames, an additional charge will be levied.
