PRIME LOCATION:
Due to our elevated position, The Tops has one of the most beautiful views in
South Africa. The panorama created by the Indian Ocean and river mouth in the
front and the indigenous forest behind, places The Tops in a most magnificent
position. We are in the heart of the
Wilderness village, about 7 minutes' walk
from the beach, the lagoon, 7 restaurants and close to 3 hiking trails.
The Tops is ideally situated in the centre of the Garden Route: fifteen minutes'
drive from the airport, one hour away from Mossel Bay,
Knysna ,
hiking trails, canoeing, paragliding( instructors take you tandem-gliding), a
game reserve displaying the Big 5 and 20 of South Africa's most scenic golf
courses and 8 minutes' drive from the big Garden Route Mall.
Pack a picnic basket and visit our 3 bird hides. Watch the king fishers diving
for fish and swallowing them right in front of you. Try to land your own cob or
grunter from the river on the boardwalk or on the beach. Canoe along the river
to the waterfall and swim in the cool, cola-coloured water in the pools below.
FACILITIES
We have 4 newly-built self-catering studios, each one leading on to a deck
through wide sliding doors offering not only a magnificent view, but also
facilities for a private barbeque. Each studio is ideally suited for a family of
4, or we can accommodate groups, such as paragliders of 8 to 16 on adventure
holidays, or business people who would like to get away from it all after work.
For them we offer the large reception area on the top deck for recreation, which
is equipped with a barbeque and bar. Here one can enjoy a beer and braai in a
unique setting.
Each studio is laid out in L-shape, Queen-size bed in the long leg directly next
to the bathroom. TV channels : SABC 1,2,3 and eTV. You are welcome to bring your
own DSTV card if you want to watch all the other channels. The fully equipped
kitchenette, lounge area and sleeper couch take up the rest. The sleeper couches
on the first floor have 2 single beds each and the two on the second floor, a
double bed each.
A lift takes you and your luggage to your studio and you won't need your car
once it is parked directly below , because everything you might need is within
walking distance.
