Thistle Do Nicely is a double story thatched guesthouse, situated in the peaceful village of Deneysville, overlooking the beautiful Vaal Dam. It could be a million miles away from the real world of load shedding, bumper to bumper traffic, crime and all the things city people take to be a part of normal life, as they know it.

We are just one hour away from Johannesburg and offer four double rooms with bathroom en suite, 6 channel TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room has its own entrance leading onto our garden, splash pool, and thatched lapa with a Jacuzzi.

We also offer a first class English breakfast, normally served on the upper deck, with its fabulous views of the dam.

What a way to unwind, as you cool off in the sparkling pool or cuddle up with your partner, with a bottle of wine and let the warm bubbles of the spa soak away the stress.

Perhaps you wish for nothing more than to just sit in the garden and admire the wonderful bird life. We have many species of beautiful water birds to be seen along the vast stretch of shoreline.

For those who enjoy sailing, fishing or water skiing, it�s all here. There is also a casino 20 minutes away, a game farm which offers game drives, and quad biking. Within 30 minutes of Deneysville there is also a top quality golf course.
