TIPIS AFRICA GUEST LODGE
Bed & Breakfast/ Guest House/ Guest Lodge Accommodation
in Nelspruit, Lowveld & Kruger National Park,
Mpumalanga, South Africa
Welcome to Tipis Africa Guestlodge. A unique Native American experience, just
3km outside Nelspruit. Overlooking the Long Tom Mountains in South Africa's
Lowveld Region, a great view.
The lodge has a rustic ranch atmosphere with a nice ambience taking you back to
the American Old West. Absolutely great for outdoor people. The family will love
it. An ideal break-away from the city life. Nothing like a good fire, a glass of
wine and a home-made "potjie", with soft Native American music in the
background.
The tipi's are authentic Cheyenne indian design. 19ft in diameter on huge
circular platforms with stonewalls as windbreakers. The tipi's have stone floors
with an electrical point. Each tipi has got its own bathroom with a big shower
and the newest self-composting toilets. Some tipi's have queen sized beds others
with two or three single beds including comfortable chairs and well-designed
beds. The feel is nice and cozy. There is nothing like waking up in a tipi.
Tipis Africa Guestlodge is located close to the world renowned Kruger National
Park and the small town of Kaapsehoop, made famous by their population of wild
horses.
The city of Nelspruit is the capital of the Mpumalanga province and is
surrounded by some of the most scenic routes in South Africa. Some of these
include the Graskop
and Pilgrims Rest and of course we are 2 hours drive from Maputo, Mozambique.
Nelspruit offers a wide variety of restaurants and cafes easily accesible from
our lodge.
Unfortunately airport transfers are not available.
The lodge consists of 6 Tipis. 2 of these have queen size beds and 4 Tipis have
2x single beds in each . Lodging a total of 12 people. Every Tipi has 1
electrical point. There is a central Western style lounge with dining room and
mexican style fireplace. The lodge is a bed and breakfast, ranch-style dinners
are also provided. Vegetarians, are welcome. Great stir fries, salads and fruits.
There is also a shared 17m Morrocan-styled pool, to cool off in the lowveld
heat. A Native American sweat lodge will also be available soon. Something to
look forward to.
