Lodge offers up-market accommodation at the lowest rates. A dedicated lodge with
a homely feel.

Business meetings are easily accommodated on the patio with its louvre awning
and peaceful garden views. Group braais (barbeques) can be arranged and are
provided from time-to-time by management on a complimentary basis.

History of the Name:
umKlewu is the Zulu name for the Grey Loerie, a bird species indigenous to the
area. Every morning in winter a pair of grey loeries wakens the lodge by calling
for their daily apple provision.
Accommodation:
- umKlewu Lodge, with its African theme décor, boasts five fabulous double
rooms, a spacious single room and a luxurious main suite, the "Loerie Room",
that includes a separate study area, dressing room and en-suite
spa-bathroom! A sleeper-couch in the Loerie Room allows for an extra two
persons to occupy the suite.
- Our five spacious double rooms are well appointed with remote-operated
television and relaxing views of the garden. The rooms have either two
single or one double bed depending on guest preference and availability.
- Our spacious single room is well appointed with remote-operated
television and relaxing views of the garden.
Additional Notes:
- DOUBLE AND SINGLE ROOMS HAVE SHARED BATHROOM FACILITIES.
- Each room is equipped with its own television set. Channels include SABC,
E-TV, M-Net and DSTV. Full DSTV is available in our main TV lounge with
selected channels available in the rooms.
- A sparkling grey-black swimming pool with full-surround fencing is
available for guest relaxation and enjoyment..
- An adventure deck is available on the premises for those energy-loaded
little limbs!
- Paulshof is home to a variety of bird and small wildlife species. Our
garden is bird friendly and we encourage visits from the local bird
population for the enjoyment of our guests.
- umKlewu Lodge is situated within a secure boomed area. Our parking is
secured behind remote access gates and beam-monitored at night. Regular
security inspections are conducted by armed response patrols stationed in
the area.
Meals:
- A full English- or continental breakfast is available daily.
- We provide all meals on request as well as a snack menu - available
throughout the day.
- A stock of popular drinks and snacks is available to enjoy at the lodge
for those who wish to relax without having to travel out for refreshments

- Scenic flights around Johannesburg as well as chartered or commercial
flights throughout Southern Africa may be arranged from the Lodge.
- Various local tours are available that can be arranged from the lodge
Local Attractions and Facilities:
- Sandton and Fourways are well-known for their shopping delights -
especially for foreign tourists looking for that all-important curio to take
back home. umKlewu Lodge is ideally situated for convenient access to
Sandton, Midrand and Woodmeade. We will be glad to assist
guests with the planning of their entertainment excursions.
- We are located within a 10-minute drive from Monte Casino, Fourways.
Various other casinos are accessible from the lodge - transfers can be
arranged on request.
- Most major gym organizations are within a short drive from the lodge and
numerous golf courses are situated nearby.
- Horse riding facilities and riding schools are within a short drive from
the lodge.
- Despite the convenient business location, umKlewu Lodge is located on
the Northern borders of Sandton which allows for easy access to mountain
bike trails, walks, birding venues and equestrian events. There are
excellent biking trails close to the lodge. We understand biking and will
direct guests to trails and facilities most suited to their level of
experience. We are also able arrange for inclusion into the local riding
groups catering for all levels of rider (including families).
