Valley of the Rainbow Estate and Nature Reserve is an exclusive property
located in valleys surrounded by mountains, near the picturesque town of
Dullstroom, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
The resort is an exclusive retreat that combines the extraordinary beauty of an
awe-inspiring natural landscape with the convenience and hospitality of a luxury
resort.
Sprawling over almost 1000 hectares mountains and cradled in a valley surrounded
by mountains the venue is a sanctuary of indigenous forests, lakes, rivers and
waterfalls.
Visitors will experience the peace and tranquillity of the venue, prolific
birdlife including 5 kingfisher species, the fish eagle and endangered blue
crane, variety of game including buck, vevet monkey, bush pig, cerval cat and
the clawless otter.
The leisure resort is only 2 hours drive, on a national highway, from
Johannesburg and Pretoria, making short holiday breaks or a stop-over to the
game reserves a pleasure.
Adventure activities include Fly Fishing in river and lakes, Hiking and Birding
trails, Horse riding on mountain trails, Mountain biking trails.
We also offer onsite fly fishing instruction for those guests that are new to
this sport.
Manor House:
Guests have a choice of five rooms each with a comfortable lounge area and a
well appointed en-suite bathroom. A spacious lounge with an open fire-place for
cold winter evenings, bar, dining room with fire-place, library and TV (DSTV)
invites guests to more than home luxuries. The spacious deck overlooks a river
running through the valley, gardens, forests, mountains and lakes.
2 x Luxury Suite
Very large room with 2 king size beds, lounge area, DSTV, bar fridge,
en-suite bathroom with shower and bath.
2 x Classical Room
Large Room with king size bed, lounge area, DSTV and en-suite bathroom with
bath
Cuisine
Meals are served in the dining room of the Manor House. With its artistic
and stylish decor, this creates the perfect setting for fine dining and social
atmosphere. The restaurant offers a superb menu, incorporating South African
Cuisine with international presentation and standards. Dinner six course meal.

Activities Available to all staying guests
Guests can participate in organised sport activities such as fly fishing and
horse riding.
The mountains invite guests to go wandering along walking trails on which one
can expect to find a variety of small game, numerous species of birds and an
abundance of wild flowers and plants.
A river runs through the property and feed five lakes stocked with rainbow and
brown trout. Rates include fly-fishing (catch and release)
