Inn is ideally situated to start your day's trip through the Baviaans valley. At
the end of a day's excursion in the Baviaans Wilderness Area, Verberg Inn is a
welcome haven to the weary traveller. Enjoy the tranquil farm atmosphere or
treat yourself to a "Sundowner" picnic after meandering the trail through a
Sweet Thorn forest. Wake up to a majestic view of the "Swartberg" mountain range
and enjoy a full Continental Breakfast in your room or on the porch. A dinner

Verberg Inn is halfway between Uniondale and Willowmore. You'll find many good
dirt roads in the area, which create wonderful opportunities for mountain and
off-road biking.
Uniondale town has the largest watermill in the Southern hemisphere. Built in
1852, it remained in service for 100 years. It was restored in 1977 and is now a
national monument. There are five Boer war forts around Uniondale, one of which
has been restored and declared a national monument.
The Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area is South Africa's third largest inland
protected area. Located in the eastern portion of the Cape Floral Kingdom, the
hallmark of the area is its phenomenal ecosystem diversity. It is home to
amazingly diverse species of fauna and flora, including 17 types of protea.
Mammals to be seen include kudu, hartebeest, bushbuck, eland, duiker,
klipspringer and the elusive leopard.
Sophie's Choice restaurant in Willowmore is a must visit and has become quite
popular with tourists worldwide. Take a journey into the past and ride the
"Willow Limo" (A Donkey cart) exploring Willowmore.
