If you are after a beach holiday, this is it.
This non-smoking, 6 to 8 sleeper upmarket duplex is in a walled, secure complex of 8 units. It consists of 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. There is a double sleeper couch in an alcove in the dining room. The main bedroom is en-suite and has a balcony looking straight out to sea. The ground floor consists of a tastefully decorated open plan lounge, dining room and well-equipped kitchen. There is a lock up garage and swimming pool.
DSTV is included. There is also a DVD player and portable CD player. Both rooms have amazing views and lead onto a private verandah and lawn. There is a built in braai and a Weber.
Upstairs is the main bedroom with queen size bed and en-suite bathroom. There is a private balcony overlooking an exquisite little beach. The two smaller bedrooms have two single beds in each. There is a second bathroom with a shower. All three bedrooms have ceiling fans to ensure cool, comfortable nights. The view from all of these rooms is outstanding.
Linen and bath towels are provided, and your apartment will be serviced daily.
Villa Siesta is situated a mere five minute walk away from
Margate's pristine blue flag beach. The beaches opposite the complex are lovely and there is a tidal pool close by. The complex is within easy walking distance to the centre of the town where many excellent restaurants and pubs are to be found.
If you feel like a break from the beach, there is a wealth of activities to choose from such as:
Go-karting, movies, gyms, a supertube, canoeing, horse-riding;
Fishing/ Spearfishing
The fishing on this section of coast matches the stories! Try your hand at fishing at Margate's renowned pier, or spearfish along some of the fantastic offshore reefs. If possible try to catch the winter
Shelly Beach.
Scuba Diving
If you're an enthusiast, Protea Banks is 5km offshore from Shelly Beach and Aliwal Shoal is a 45min drive North. Many top dive charter operators are based in Margate.
Golf
The Hibiscus Coast is also known as the "Golf Coast". Within 45 minutes drive are 10 of KwaZulu-Natal's best Golf Courses. Wild Coast,
Port Shepstone, Selborne, Umdoni Park to name a few. If you're a golfer, this is the place to be!
If nature is your thing, pay a visit to the local crocodile farm or snake park or perhaps take a drive to
Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve.
Flight
Perhaps you'd like to see it all from the air! Microlight, gyrocopter and light aircraft flips can be organized from Margate Airport which is 5 Km away.
