The cottage is a charming 19th century farm house on the working farm Vryheid. Vryheid is on the R 340 road on the way to the rural town of Wittedrift situated 7.5km from Plettenberg Bay and 11km from Keurboomsstrand. The farm borders on the Bitou river and the Bitou wetland, with it's hunderds of birds makes it a birder paradise. Activities on the farm are hiking, the fynbos and indigenous forest trails, swimming, canoeing and bird watching.

All the Garden Route attractions are within two hours driving from the farm.

The well equipt cottage consists of two bedrooms, two on suite bathrooms, a working kitchen, lounge and stoep. It also has DSTV.

General Comments:
This resort lends itself to excellent bird watching, nature walks, hiking trails, canoeing and fishing. The beaches are 11km from the farm in a natural bay. The beaches are not protected by shark nets.

The nearest town Plettenberg Bay offers many fine restaurants, hotels and supermarkets.
