The charming artistic village of Clarens, situated in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains and just 3 hours by car from Johannesburg, is the picturesque location for The Clarens Golf and Trout Estate, which features an 18-hole golf course. There are also over 30 kms of river as well as numerous dams for the trout fishing enthusiast. Golden Gate National Park is a short drive from Clarens and the mountain kingdom of Lesotho is an easy day trip.

Situated in a quiet enclave on the Clarens Golf and Trout Estate, this luxury home is available for the discerning self catering guest. Built in traditional Free State farmhouse style, the house has sandstone cladding and green 'tin' roof and has generous covered patios with wonderful views of Mount Horeb.

The large double volume lounge has a loft library/study accessed by spiral staircase There is a separate and comfortable TV lounge with large plasma screen TV/PVR/DVD as well as an 8 seater dining room for relaxed holiday dining. A fully equipped designer farmhouse kitchen and scullery offer gas/electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. There is also a guest cloakroom.

Folding cottage pane doors allows access from all living areas to the enormous patio with traditional 'afdak', just perfect for summer living. There is a large wood burning fireplace in the lounge and under floor heating in all rooms to keep you warm and cozy in the winter.

There are four en suite bedrooms, each with their own entrance and private patio areas. Two of the en suite bathrooms have showers only, one bath only and main has both bath and shower facilities. An additional bed (suitable for children) can be arranged if required. The house is fully equipped and serviced daily, excluding Sundays. Braai/potjie facilities are available and there is a double carport as well as additional off street parking.

The par 72 golf course, designed and constructed by Golf Data, is bound to excite every level of golfer. All 18 holes meander along and across the tranquil river and its splendid series of trout dams and cascading waterfalls.

The village of Clarens offers an abundance of restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and interesting shops for the browser.

For those who enjoy more physical activities one is spoiled for choice - white water rafting, mountain bike and 4x4 trails, hiking, fly fishing, golf and quad biking.

There are also a number of interesting historical and fossil sites in the Clarens vicinity.

For those who need a bit of pampering there are also spa facilities within a few kilometres of Clarens.

Children are welcome.

Small pets are permitted by prior arrangement.

Smoking is permitted on patios.
