Bazley Beach, an hour from Durban on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast is named after one of the lovely indigenous trees on our land that is also known as the Umdoni tree. The cottage is set amongst woodland of indigenous trees and has lovely views from the deck and front bay windows of the ocean and beach, which is a five minute walk away. Frequent sightings of whales, dolphins, and in June and July the
Sardine Run, make it essential for you to bring your binoculars to have a closer look. Wild birds and animals, including the beautiful purple crested lourie and rare red duiker are in abundance on the property and in the surrounding bush.
Waterwood Cottage is fully self contained and has two charming bedrooms with a large open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. It has been lovingly put together for your comfort and relaxation. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Rooms are fitted with fans and heaters and Satellite television is available. The magnificent deck off the lounge has a built in barbecue and the large trees offer you shade during our warm summer months.
Your hosts Ron and Moira Millard, their Golden Retriever 'Bertie' and Great Dane / Boerbul 'Onslow' will offer you a very warm welcome, Bertie in particular will show you where the best rock pools are for swimming in and how to catch fishy morsels from the bottom of the sea bed.
We have a choice of golf courses nearby and
Scottburgh, our nearest town, is 20 minutes drive away. Here you will find restaurants, shops and cinemas.
