11 Wedgewood Terrace is situated directly across the pedestrian access to
Umhlanga premier beach, Bronze Beach, with views of the warm Indian Ocean.
This luxury, fully air-conditioned, 3 bedroom 2 bathroom (main en suite) self
catering apartment is tiled throughout with tasteful porcelain tiles.
It comprises of an open plan lounge, dining area with a fully fitted granite
topped kitchen with quality appliances - Fridge, under counter oven and hob,
extractor, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble-drier. Should you
however wish a laundry & ironing service may be arranged at a small additional
cost. All crockery, cutlery is supplied as are "small appliances" such as
toaster, kettle etc.
Off the dining area there is shady terrace, with many indigenous birds as
regular visitors - An ideal place to unwind and taken in the virtues of a beach
holiday. The lounge is equipped with a DVD player and full bouquet DStv
(connected to the main and second bedroom). It leads, via large sliding doors on
to the patio from where you can view the sun rise over the ocean.
The main bedroom has a king size double bed, is served by an en suite stylish
bathroom with a double volume shower and a sliding door leading on to the patio.
The second bedroom bed arrangement can be adapted to either 2 single beds or a
single king size bed - please specify your preference when booking. The third
bedroom has 2 single beds.
The patio has a granite bar counter overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean, a
Weber gas "braai" (barbeque) and a quality patio set (6 seater), ideal for "al
fresco" meals.
Quality linen and toweling are provided. We request that you bring your own
beach towels. The apartment is serviced daily except Sundays and public
holidays. Access to the complex is by means of an electric gate and vehicle
parking is provided by an automated double garage, conveniently situated below
the apartment.
11 Wedgewood is within walking distance of Umhlanga Village, renown as one of
South Africa's premier sea-side holiday villages famous for it's 5 km long beach
promenade silhouetted by the "Umhlanga lighthouse". A wide selection of hotels,
restaurants and bars provide the holiday maker with a variety of options to
suite all occasions, tastes and budgets. For the nature lover, also within
walking distance is the indigenous Hawaan Forest.
11 Wedgewood is within 5 minutes drive from Gateway (SA's largest shopping
center) with boutiques, cinemas, restaurants, climbing wall, wave pool, skate
park etc. etc. Even closer is the Sharks Board with its unique displays of
scientific studies of this intriguing species. A first world standard
private hospital is also less than 5 minutes drive way.
A little further but still in the vicinity, are several world class golf courses
including the prestigious Zimbali courses as well as
adventure facilities such as micro lighting, scuba diving, dolphin & whale
watching, helicopter flips to mention just a few.
Within 30 easy minutes drive are the International Conference Center (I.C.C.),
uShaka Marine World and Durban International Airport.
The world heritage sites of Lake St. Lucia, the Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game Parks and
the majestic Drakensberg Mountains are all within easy reach of Umhlanga Rocks.
