We are smack bang in the middle of all the action. Lots of fun for old and
young awaits! We are situated centrally in Gordon's Bay, very close to the
beach. Whether you would like to soak up the sun on well-known Bikini Beach or
Main Beach, take a boat trip from the harbour or enjoy a meal in one of the many
beach front restaurants - you'll find it all just a few minutes' walk away with
beautiful scenery situated between mountain and sea, and very affordable.
Accommodation at the Backpackers:
We have dorm rooms, double rooms, family rooms, single rooms, en suite rooms and twin rooms. There is a fully equipped self-catering kitchen and a lounge area with satellite TV, and barbecue facilities. We have an entertainment room with pool table and small bar for members only, satellite TV (74cm) to listen to music or watch sport. We are very close to supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, bars and our beautiful beach. We're 20 minutes drive from Cape Town Airport and 45 minutes from Cape Town Central.

- Century City, Canal Walk & Ratanga Junction (40km)
Our neighbour towns, Somerset West (10 minutes) has an indoor heated public
swimming pool as well as a Virgin Active Gym. Strand also offers superb surfing
waters. You can also visit the jackass penguin colony at Betty's Bay and enjoy a
cup of tea at the Harold Porter botanical gardens. Gordon's Bay has its own
unique hiking trail all the way along the mountainside overlooking the ocean.
