Woodlands Lodge:
Situated in the 22000 acre malaria free Nambiti Big 5 Private Game Reserve in
KZN. Woodlands Lodge is a colonial grey stone manor house situated in lush
fenced in gardens complete with swimming pool, tennis court, boma and private
hide overlooking a waterhole.
Catering for individuals or family getaways, photo or bird safaris, battlefiedls
tours etc.
We can accommodate for up to 12 adults and two kids. Woodlands consists of six
en-suite bedrooms all beautifully decorated in either a Battlefield or Big Five
theme.
Apart from superb big five game viewing on open 4x4 game viewers, Woodlands
offers other activities like a full size billiards table, bar with big screen TV
for all your sporting needs, Big cat tracking, Drakensberg trips, Battlefield
tours, clay pigeon shooting to name just a few.
Woodlands Lodge offers exquisite gourmet meals in the stunningly decorated
dining area or under the African stars around a crackling boma fire, or if you
so wish a private dinner on the top storey veranda where you can take in the
sights and sounds of Africa while savoring your meal.
We offer two lounges with fire places for those cold winter days, a large
downstairs veranda where you can relax as you view the antics of the over 30
bird species found in the garden alone, or take a walk down to the private hide,
night or day where you might spot some of the more elusive animals the reserve
has to offer.
On your game drive your qualified guide will thrill your senses with sights and
sounds of not only the big five but also cheetah, hippo, hyena, giraffe and over
30 plains game species. Your guide will introduce you to some of the less known
facts of nature including insects, birds and flora. A stop on your drive will
give you the chance to stretch your legs and enjoy a sundowner and snacks in the
afternoon or a hot beverage and rusks on the morning drive.
Being one of only a hand full of Big 5 lodges in South Africa that are child
friendly, Woodlands Lodge is the ideal family getaway only 2.5hours from Durban
and 3.5hours from Johannesburg. Transfers can be arranged.
