Woodlands Country Cottages,Bathurst (Home of the Worlds Tallest Pineapple) for a days outing - picnic at the Waters Meeting Nature reserve with its magnificent "Ox - Bow" Golf Couses are a chip and a putt away, but shade, verdant surroundings and solace are to be found at Woodlands.

Accommodation is in either quaint wooden Cabins (couples or small families) or the spacious brick potters house and garden cottage. Small wooden "Couples Cottages" each situated privately in its own haven of indigenous bush and diverse plantlife, they are open plan, all in one with double bed, TV, kitchenette, en-suite shower/loo/basin plus door leading outdoors to open air, privately enclosed "boma bath" - enjoy a candlelit soak under the stars, or simply relax and soak, whilst birdwatching. All have decks outfront with 2 man hammock nooks and braai's.

The tastefully restored potters house has 2 large double or twin bedroom units, each with own bathroom and private patio in treed surrounds with braai and hammocks. Has open plan Lounge (TV) and kitchen (fully self catering). Take the pathway to the spacious garden cottage, a true getaway with its one bedroom (double or twin beds), en-suite plus very spacious lounge (with 2 single beds + TV), dining room and kitchen. Has its own patio/garden area with braai and hammock.

Full linen is supplied plus daily service.

Although all cottages are kitted up for self catering, our breakfasts are a fully recommended must - enjoyed in our atmospheric garden room OR delivered to your cottage. A tea garden/country kitchen on property is available for daily country breakfasts, teas 'n scones in the gardens or light meals served in the garden room, with small pub and table tennis for guests convenience. A super restaurant with marvellous view is just up the road, or another down in the village with pristine views over the rivermouth and ocean. Or try the local floating restaurant across the river from Woodlands.

Your hosts, Bev and David Selwyn Smith, are passionate about the Eastern Cape and thoroughly enjoy filling their guests in, on all "The Things To See And Do" in the area, over a welcoming drink.
