Set in the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, in the Old Balgowan area, you'll find two freestanding, beautifully-appointed cottages, with unbeatable views.

Run by husband and wife duo, Rob and Judy, C'est La Vie offers guests a true sense of space, peace and security, along with warm, country hospitality. A home away from home.

Our charming, fully-equipped, self-catering cottages are conveniently close to Michaelhouse, the KZN Midlands Meander, and only 5km from the N3 highway.

The scenic views and calm tranquillity provide the ideal getaway from the humdrum of every day life.

Both cottages have smart TVs with full DSTV and Netflix.

Private verandas and both with Weber braais provide the ideal situation to relax and unwind with friends and or family.


The Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a King Size Bed and the other with 2 single beds which can easily be joined to make a king size bed. Both have en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers as well as a free standing bath in the main bathroom.

The living area is kept warm on those cold wintery nights with a cast iron fire place with a sleeper couch which allows the cottage to accommodate an additional person ( extra bedding is provided on request). Ceiling fans in all rooms keep the rooms cool in summer.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, microwave oven and fridge and all the basic cooking utensil and crockery.


The Chalet which is situated on a hill overlooking a winding stream and boasts stunning views also sleeps a maximum of 5 people. An upstairs mezzanine with 2 single beds which can also be joined to make a king size bed has its own separate toilet and handbasin. The main bedroom downstairs has a queen size bed with an adjoining toilet, hand basin and walk-in shower.

A sleeper couch in the living areas enables the cottage to also sleep a maximum of 5 people. The living area is heated in winter by a freestanding fireplace. The kitchen is fitted with a small electric stove as well as a gas cooker, microwave oven and fridge and is equipped with all your basic kitchen utensils and crockery.
