Swakopmund is a small town with charming neo-Gothic German architecture on the
Skeleton Coast. The town is 30km north of the port city of Walvis Bay and 70km
south of the fishing village of Henties Bay and is an essential stopover en
route north or south between Etosha and Sossusvlei.
Getting to Swakopmund:
Walvis Bay receives daily flights direct from Cape Town and Johannesburg as well
as domestic and charter flights from all over Namibia. Windhoek receives daily
flights from Europe and South Africa and there are daily shuttle buses
connecting Swakopmund and Windhoek.
Watch this space: Walvis Bay is extending the runway to accept long-haul
flights. Soon you will be able to fly directly to the coast from Europe.
