Kokoriba Guest Farm is an affordable and private guest farm situated in Vaalwater, only 12km out on the Melkrivier Road, less than two hours drive from Pretoria offering self-catering or B&B on request.

Delux Unit - 3 Bedroom Self Catering or B&B on request

Our 3-Bedroom Delux Unit, is set in a beautiful protected garden surrounded by bushveld. Sleeps 6 people with ease, each bedroom sleeps 2. Each well-appointed and airconditioned room comes with an on-suite (2 rooms with bath and shower, 1 room with only a shower). It is spaciously designed with three comfortable bedrooms as well as an open plan kitchen (fully equipped) lounge, patio, rooftop braai and social area to accommodate short- or long-term stays.

Family Unit - 3 Bedroom Self Catering or B&B on request

Our 3-Bedroom Family Unit, is set in a beautiful protected garden surrounded by bushveld. Sleeps 10 people with ease. Two Bedrooms sleep 4 (family rooms) and, one bedroom, sleeps 2. Each well-appointed room comes with on-suite (family rooms, shower only – double room, bath and shower). It is spaciously designed with three comfortable bedrooms as well as an open plan kitchen (fully equipped) and lounge with outdoor braai and dining area to accommodate short- or long-term stays.

Activities:

Game Drive/Animal feedings:

Game drives can be done by prior arrangement, or accompany and assist staff with daily feeding rounds.

Mountain Biking:

A good network of farm roads enables the cyclist to enjoy riding in the bush. Tracks are either smooth or 4x4. There is always the possibility of coming face to face with a Blue Wildebeest or Impala around the next corner! Alternatively, the public roads outside the farm have very little traffic and offer longer rides.

Walking and wildlife watching:

Kokoriba Guest Farm supports a wide variety of fauna and flora, and because we don't have any dangerous wildlife, the best way to take it all in and enjoy the beautiful scenery is on foot. There are paths and interesting stations on the farm where one can enjoy long easy peaceful walks and at these stations, sit down, breathe, relax and just enjoy the peace. Rest assured that you will definitely see the wildlife while walking.

Birding:

Discover the joy of bird watching amongst others, bee-eater, hornbill, woodpecker, nightjar, pigeon, guinea fowl, duck, eagle, owl, loerie, kingfisher, waxbill, finch and many more species recorded in the area.

Swimming:

Cool off and relax in the communal swimming pool also heated in the cooler days and winter.

Tree Spotting:

Due to the variety of habitats, the flora is very diversified. It's a great hobby to walk around identifying trees and wildflowers with a good reference book.

Picnic Sites:

Pack a picnic and enjoy the surroundings at one of the picnic sites.

Photography:

For the keen nature photographer there are endless possibilities, especially as guests have access to all areas of the property.

Fishing:

Bring your own rod to test your patience against the fish that can be caught in our farm dam.

1. Plus, minus 1 km dirt road towards the Guest Farm
2. The network at the farm gate is not always reliable, so when you turn right in Vaalwater at the 4 ways stop onto the Melkrivier road, call 082 301 2588 or 083 786 6823 so that we can open the gate for you. From the 4 ways stop it is plus, minus 12 km to the farm.
