La Roca is an owner-managed 4-star boutique guest house located in an upmarket residential suburb of Nelspruit. Spread amongst 6,000m² of sub-tropical garden, several of our rooms, the breakfast lapa and pool deck enjoy stunning uninterrupted views over the Nelspruit Nature Reserve and escarpment beyond.

Conveniently situated only 2Km from the city centre, La Roca is a peaceful oasis within which to unwind from a long days work or to use as a base for exploring the many world class attractions in the vicinity: the Kruger National Park; Blyde River Canyon; Mozambique and Swaziland are all less than an hour away.

Offering standard, luxury and executive accommodation, all our en-suite rooms have been individually decorated with attention to detail and each have a private entrance and a balcony or patio.
Our approach is professional but our style is with a smile – creating a friendly and warm ambiance.

Breakfast is served under our open air thatched lapa on the pool terrace, with panoramic views across the Nature Reserve - a peaceful and enchanting start to any day. We try to make our breakfast a -cut above- the normal bacon and eggs of most guest houses - we serve deliciously different freshly cooked special's together with an extensive self-service cold buffet. Vegetarian breakfast is catered for upon request.

From Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport
& From R40 North (Hazyview / White River)
- Leaving the Airport, turn right at the circle towards White River.
- Continue following signs for White River and the R40.
- When you reach the R40, turn left towards Nelspruit
- Continue for about 15Km and TURN LEFT at the first set of traffic lights AFTER the N4 junction (the Town Lodge is on your right hand side) into Piet Retief St.
- Continue straight on Piet Retief St. – over 2 sets of traffic lights, a small traffic circle and a 4-way stop street.
- Immediately after the stop street, take the first turn right into Van Wijk St. – there is a sign for La Roca on your left.
- Continue straight up the hill in Van Wijk St., go straight at the small traffic circle and La Roca is about 100m on your right (# 56)
From N4 West (Pretoria / Johannesburg)
- Heading into Nelspruit on the N4, take the off ramp to left, sign posted for Nelspruit/Mbombela and Barberton (R40)
- When you arrive at the 5th set of traffic lights (R40), turn right onto the R40 towards Barberton.
- Take the first turn left at the next set of traffic lights into Piet Retief St.
- Continue straight on Piet Retief St. – over 2 sets of traffic lights, a small traffic circle and a 4-way stop street.
- Immediately after the stop street, take the first turn right into Van Wijk St. – there is a sign for La Roca on your left.
- Continue straight up the hill in Van Wijk St., go straight at the small traffic circle and La Roca is about 100m on your right (# 56)
From N4 East (Malelane / Mozambique)
- Follow signs for Nelspruit centre on the N4 highway.
- Continuing towards Nelspruit city centre, the N4 splits – do not follow the N4 lanes on the right hand side - KEEP LEFT when the road splits and continue straight up into Bell St.
- At the traffic lights at the top of Bell St., TURN LEFT into Ferreira St.
- At the second set of traffic lights, TURN RIGHT into Van der Merwe St.
- Continue up Van der Merwe street until you reach a four-way stop street. TURN LEFT into Mostert St.
- Immediately after the stop street, take the first turn right into Van Wijk St. – there is a sign for La Roca on your left.
- Continue straight up the hill in Van Wijk St., go straight at the small traffic circle and La Roca is about 100m on your right (# 56)
From R40 South (Barberton / Swaziland)
- Heading into Nelspruit on the R40, TURN RIGHT into Piet Retief St. at the traffic lights just after the petrol station (the Road Lodge is on your left and Sonpark Shopping Centre on your right.
- Continue straight on Piet Retief St. – over 2 sets of traffic lights, a small traffic circle and a 4-way stop street.
- Immediately after the stop street, take the first turn right into Van Wijk St. – there is a sign for La Roca on your left.
- Continue straight up the hill in Van Wijk St., go straight at the small traffic circle and La Roca is about 100m on your right (# 56)

Leaving the Airport, turn right at the circle towards White River.
Continue following signs for White River and the R40.
