Our motto, and we are proud of it! Rustic Butler has been open to business since 2009, and we are looking forward to accommodating you. During the past years we have improved, built, renovated, broken down walls, rebuilt walls, out, redid the bathrooms and just got better.

A Little Bit About Rustic Butler

Rustic Butler and the neighboring annex are perfectly situated in a residential area of White River. We are within reach of the Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, and the warm waters of Maputo, yet at the same time are close to Nelspruit. Riverside and Ilanga malls with their shops, restaurants and movies, games room, and the ice rink are 12 km to 18 km away. Casterbridge with its art, cinema, art gallery and antiques car exhibition and a variety of restaurants are a mere six minutes away.

Our parking is not covered but is partially shaded by trees and the property is secured with an electric fence.

We have two properties – right next to each other – with a big gateway between the two properties.

Rustic Butler Rooms

AMENITIES
All rooms are equipped with gowns, smart-TV, bar fridge, roof fan, heater, tea and coffee facility, milk, rusks and biscuits and water daily. The bathroom has the amenities, towels, mosquito repellent, doom, umbrella, extra blankets and warm water bottles. The outside area has a table and chairs, welcoming drink. Rustic Butler is a no-smoking area, but we have a communal smoking area.

Room 1 – MODERN ROOM - (Standard Room)
This room has a double bed and the en-suite bathroom with a shower.

Room 2 – CLASSICAL ROOM - (Standard Room)
This room has a double bed and the en-suite bathroom with a shower.

Room 3 - LUXURY ROOM
This is a lovely big room with a king size bed. The bathroom is spacious with a corner bath, shower and double basins.
This room is also big enough to add a single bed for another person.
The room is also perfect for a little romantic evening. For a surprise we can light some candles, add bubble bath, Champaign and rose petals – need I say more?

Room 4 – RUSTIC ROOM - (Standard Room)
These rooms have a double bed and the en-suite bathroom with a shower.

Room 5 - COTTAGE
This unit has two rooms, the bedroom with a king size bed (or two singles) and a TV Room with a sleeper couch. The unit also has a small, but full bathroom, an equipped kitchenette and braai facilities.
A child (not older than 12), can sleep in the TV Room on the couch.

Rustic Butler Annex Rooms

All the rooms in the annex are equipped with smart-tv’s, tea and coffee, rusks, biscuits, cutlery, crockery, microwave ovens, kettle, towels, bathroom amenities, mosquito repellents and umbrellas.

There is also a big communal braai area with lovely seatings. We also have a portable braai and a portable gas stove for guests who want to braai on their stoep.

Room 6 - DELUXE ROOM
A lovely spacious room with open trusses, a four-poster bed, (extra length and extra depth), kitchenette, big bathroom with a shower, smart-TV, fireplace, sitting area and an outside area.
The room also has an old-school daybed for a third person or a child.

Room 7 - SELF-CATERING UNIT
A crispy, spacious room with a king size bed, full kitchen, interesting bathroom with a shower and an outside area.

Room 8 - STANDARD UNIT
A completely separate and private room with two outside areas – the bohemian garden and a stoep.
A kitchenette with a bathroom and a shower.
The room has two single beds but can be converted into a king-size bed.

Breakfast (NOT included in the rate)

We have THREE types of breakfasts:

Full breakfast - R150,00 per person
Cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast and spreads, warm breakfast, tea or coffee.

Mini breakfast – R100 per person
Muesli, yogurt, fruit, juice, muffin, butter, cheese – served in the room.

Lunch pack / breakfast on the run – R100 per person
A healthy sandwich, juice, fruit, something sweet per meal.

Dinner On Demand

A home-cooked meal is specifically prepared to meet guests’ needs while they relax in our 4-star facility.

We have an open-evening event every second week or so. Depending on the guests, we invite them all for a dinner with the family.

Some of our guests even join me in the kitchen while I am cooking with a glass of wine!

What To Do In White River?

White River is also a mecca for artists with the likes of Zakkie Eloff and Esias Bosch. For the adrenaline junkies, Induna Adventures is the company to contact for anything from the Big Swing in Graskop (40 m), river-rafting, zip-lining, kloofing to geckoing. A local company offering trips to the Kruger National Park and Panorama Trail and will also do pick- ups and drop-offs at party venues.

After a short drive to Sudwala Caves, you can explore the insides of the mountain and afterwards go back in time to Dinosaur Park. Kaapsehoop is known for its wild horses and has the reputation of snow in winter.

Shopping

Every item that your heart desires is available in White River’s shopping centres and if you cannot find what you are looking for – Riverside and Ilanga Mall is a few kilometres away.

Ilanga also has a lovely game room, movies, ice rink and playpark for the kids.


Schools And Sport

The area boasts numerous cultural and sports festivals throughout the year: Innibos, Panorama, Jock and Uplands Festival are very popular. The local schools, Rob Ferreira, White River Primary, Flamboyant School, Penryn, Curro, Nelspruit Hoërskool, Bergvlam, Lowveld High, Nelspruit Laerskool and Flamboyant Special Ed school are known to host rugby-, hockey-, netball- and cricket festivals. Mountain biking and hiking are just two of the many activities happening in and around White River!
