Greg and Family offer guests a warm and friendly personal welcome to our lovely, distinctive home, constructed of river stone and local timber, peacefully situated overlooking the stunning natural beauty of the Sabie Gorge. Without exception, the many guests who have stayed with us comment on the uniqueness of our home and that photographs on the website just do not do it justice.

The emphasis of our spacious rooms is to offer guests comfort and a place to relax and feel at home. All have a separate private entrance and the majority overlook the lush gardens. Children are welcome, so we have family suites available and pet friendly (by prior arrangement). Sumptuous breakfasts are served either in the dining room or on the verandah overlooking the swimming pool.

The Sabie Townhouse is within walking distance of Sabie village with its selection of shops and a very good choice of restaurants. We also serve hearty home cooked dinners on early request. Sabie is a small, relaxed and friendly town set among the pine covered Drakensberg Mountains of Mpumalanga. Our cool mountain air is fresh and pollution free and sparkling water ensures that Sabie remains free of malaria and bilharzia. Why not try your hand at catching a wild trout in the Sabie River while surrounded by towering majestic mountains?

Within a 10km radius of Sabie are a selection of truly beautiful natural waterfalls, some of which include delightful walks through the forests. There are many picturesque routes to neighbouring towns such as Hazyview and Graskop.

Sabie is situated on the Panorama Route which is one of the scenic highlights of any tour through South Africa. Stretching along the escarpment it includes some magnificent tourist attractions such as Blyde River Canyon, with its famous Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window, the Three Rondavels, and nearby historic Pilgrims Rest, also within a short distance is the world famous Kruger National Park. We strongly urge you to "linger a little longer" in our area and enjoy the popular tourist attractions and adventure activities. This is a magical area.

Accommodation

Zebra
Zebra Luxury suite has a king size bed or twin single beds, private patio with Jacuzzi and large luxurious Victorian style bathroom. There is also an inter-leading childrens “tented jungle room” with double bunk bed. Zebra has a lovely view over the garden and Sabie River Gorge. This suite only accommodates two adults and children age 2-12 years

Rhino
Rhino superior suite has a queen size bed plus lounge area and full en-suite bathroom.

Buffalo
Buffalo superior suite has a king size bed or two single beds plus lounge area and full en-suite bathroom.

Hippo
Hippo superior Suite has a king size bed or twin single beds, plus lounge area with single daybed ideal for a younger child and en-suite bathroom with shower.

Giraffe
Giraffe economy room is a smaller size unit with king size bed or twin single beds and full en-suite bathroom.

Kudu
Kudu economy room is a smaller size unit with king size bed or twin single beds and en-suite bathroom with shower.

Lion
Lion family suite has two bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms plus a lounge area. Main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has twin single beds. An extra single bed may be provided if required.

Elephant
A double/family suite is offered as either self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation.This suite has an open plan kitchen and lounge with two day beds, and a large bedroom with double bed. The suite shares one bathroom, shower only.

Leopard
This family suite is offered as either self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation and has two large bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms (shower and bath available) and also boasts a well appointed kitchen and open plan lounge with a cozy fireplace. Leopard also has a private undercover verandah and enclosed garden, making it an ideal unit for children and pets. Bedrooms can be made up with either single or double beds as required.

All our rooms are clean, spacious, with comfortable beds, lovely crisp linen and fluffy white towels. They all have their own entrances, bar fridges, tea/coffee facilities, TV, heaters, hair dryers and bathroom amenities.
