This riverfront property is situated on the west bank of the Vaal River and is easily accessible from the Lindequesdrift tarred road.

The property is also located on the inside reef of the Vredefort Dome, providing access to the World Heritage Site.

The property’s central location makes it easily accessible from many of the large cities. Pretoria, Johannesburg, Potchefstroom, the Vaal Triangle, and the Welkom Goldfields are all within a 160km radius (one and a half hours) of the property.

The property is located only 18km from Parys – one of the fastest growing holiday towns in South Africa. The building of various Golf Estates and similar developments are currently in process. There is a Nick Price golf course on the island Vaal de Grace.

ENVIRONMENT:

The landscape is surrounded by hills and trees offering a panoramic view of the Vaal River which meanders for 1,5 kilometers through the property.

Plants: Indigenous trees are the “Witstinkhout”,”Soetdoring”, “Blinkblaar”, “Wag ‘n Bietjie” and “Olien”.

Birds: The area can be considered a bird paradise with more than 300 species of land and water birds. The breathtaking call of the fish eagles can be heard early in the mornings as they patrol the Vaal River waters.

Animals: Sightings of “duikers”,”steenbokke”, otters, iguana, monkeys, jackals, meer cats and “rooikatte” are reasonably common.

Fish: The river streams are suitable for various forms of fishing including fly-fishing. The following species are common: yellow fish, “modderbek”, carp and barber.

The location, landscape, scenery and bio-diversity make the property idyllic and valuable. It is an ideal place to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle of city life and to find rest and peace in nature.
