The Vaal Teknorama Museum was opened in Vereeniging in 1992, making it one of South Africa’s youngest museums. The museum offers many tours to local heritage sites such as the Sharpville Memorial which was opened by Nelson Mandela. The Peace Monument which was erected in memory of the Anglo Boer War.
