Cherry Jazz Festival - Ficksburg, Free State
The Cherry Jazz Festival is a one day event which starts in the late afternoon and carries on until the early hours of the next morning and is always held at the Ficksburg Show grounds during the month of November. It aims to promote the heritage of South Africas local talent. The cherry jazz is supported by different sponsors, showcasing international, national, provincial and local artists through whom local music lovers are introduced to the world best. It is also part of the well known Cherry Festival which is South Africas oldest crop festival, starting way back in 1967.
