One of the most popular and interesting attractions is the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre which was set up in 1971 to protect cheetah. There is a 3 hour guided tour on an open 4x4 trail which is not to be missed. The Haartebeespoort Dam is a favourite getaway in Gauteng, for visitors and for the locals. Here you can choose from many watersports such as water skiing, abseiling, fishing or just relaxing on a boat. The are also a variety of fine restaurants that overlook the dam and arts and craft shops to view. A cable car is available for those who want to enjoy a trip to the top of Magaliesberg to enjoy the view and the hang-gliders from the top. As if that is not enough to keep you busy, there are also a few golf courses where you can enjoy a relaxing 18 holes or just enjoy hitting a few practice balls.
