Heilbron

Heilbron is less than an hour away from the Johannesburg International Airport which makes it a convenient holiday destination for national and international visitors. It is a small historical suburb which was founded in 1872 and is better known as the Riemland area which boasts a well extablished farming community as well as a variety of wild life and some of the finest wine cellars.

Attractions:
One of the most popular destinations is the Weltevrede Lion Farm where you will get to interact with wild animals such as wild dogs, cheetah and many more. There are many activities to choose from such as 4x4 rides, clay pigeon shooting and game drives. Also while visiting Heilbron you will be able to go game hunting and take a trip to the Vredefort Dome which is internationally as the oldest and largest meteorite impact site which is approximately 40km in diameter. Another enjoyable day out for the whole family is the Vaal Dam which has a vast variety of sports and water sports for everyone, from yachting, canoeing, skiing, windsurfing to just lying in the sun and soaking up the tranquility.

Climate:
Heilbron enjoys warm to very hot summer months with most rainfall during these months and cool to very cold winter months.
