Thohoyandou
Thohoyandou is a town in Limpopo in South Africa. It is a well populated, beautifully maintained area between Louis Trichardt and the Kruger National Park. Thohoyandou means “head of the elephant†in the traditional Venda language. The Thohoyandou area is abundant with acres of sub tropical fruit, banana plantations, tobacco and maize.
The town offers its locals and visitors, shopping centres, an interesting museum and a hotel and casino entertainment complex. There is something for everyone from all ages. Some of the main attractions is the 3000 year old Boabab tree and the ruins of The Royal Kraal which once belonged to a king and dates back to 1400 AD. Climate:
Thohoyandou is situated in Limpopo which enjoys sunny weather most of the year round. The summer months are hot to very hot with afternoon thunderstorms. The winter months are also sunny but dry with temperatures dropping considerably in the mornings and evenings.
