Valhalla on Knelsby B&B is an intimate and welcoming bed and breakfast situated in the heart of Hillcrest in KwaZulu-Natal's beautiful Upper Highway area.

With just two individually appointed guest rooms, we offer comfortable accommodation, a peaceful setting and warm, personal hospitality, while being conveniently close to Hillcrest's schools, businesses, restaurants, hospitals and sporting venues.

Our Accommodation

Our Deluxe Guest Room is spacious and comfortable and accommodates up to two adults, with space for a young child on the couch. The room has an extra-length king-size bed which can be converted to twin beds and a spacious private en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower, double basins and toilet.

Our Standard Guest Room offers comfortable accommodation for solo travellers or couples and accommodates up to two guests. It has two single beds which can be converted into an extra-length king-size bed and a private en-suite bathroom.

The two guest rooms can also be interleading when booked together, making Valhalla particularly convenient for families or guests travelling together who would like the privacy of separate bedrooms and bathrooms while still having direct access between the rooms.

Families with babies are welcome, and a camp cot is available on request at no additional charge, subject to availability.

Facilities

Both guest rooms offer free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, bar fridge and tea and coffee facilities.

Guests also have access to our beautiful garden, swimming pool and braai area, with secure on-site parking.

Please note that our swimming pool is open and unfenced, and children must be supervised at
all times.

Breakfast

A delicious breakfast is included in our accommodation rates and is served in our distinctive guest dining room.

We believe breakfast should be part of the Valhalla experience, whether you're heading out for a busy day of business or school sport, or simply enjoying a relaxing morning away from home.

Valhalla on Knelsby B&B isn't only for visitors to Hillcrest. We also welcome local couples looking for a special night away without having to travel far from home.

Our in-house Tipsy Chef is available by prior arrangement to prepare a private dinner, making Valhalla ideal for an anniversary, birthday, romantic occasion or simply an evening escape.

Enjoy a private dinner, relax for the evening and stay overnight, with breakfast waiting for you the following morning.

Private dinners are arranged and quoted separately according to individual requirements.

Valhalla on Knelsby B&B is ideally situated for families visiting the area's leading schools and sporting venues, including Highbury Preparatory School, Curro Hillcrest, Kearsney College, Thomas More College and St Mary's DSG.

We are also conveniently situated for Busamed Hillcrest Private Hospital, Shongweni Club and the wider Hillcrest and Upper Highway area.

A selection of Hillcrest restaurants and cafés is close by, with Waxy's restaurant within walking distance.
