The busy and lively centre of Manzini in Swaziland is the commercial and
industrial centre of the country, and is situated about thirty kilometres to the
Southeast of Mbabane, the capital of Swaziland. Unlike the Swaziland Ezulwini
valley, you won't find many touristy African curios in Manzini, but you will
find a twice-weekly market that is very noisy and crowded, and is typically
African. Travellers to Manzini in Swaziland can visit The Bhunu, a new shopping
mall, while The Hub, south of the market, has a good supermarket and several
restaurants and takeaways. Visitors can see the original Swaziland Catholic
mission, an elegant stone building opposite the new cathedral on Sandlane
Street. Almost all of the Swaziland's entire industrial and commercial sector is
based in Manzini. which was both the British and a Boer colonial headquarters
from 1890 but was destroyed in 1902 during the Anglo-Boer War, when the
administrative centre was transferred to Mbabane. Swaziland's Matsapha
International Airport lies near the town.Business travellers to Swaziland are
generally on the lookout for Manzini guest house accommodation or even Manzini
self catering accommodation for easy access to this industrial hub. Manzini is
only about a 30 minute drive to Mbabane and is worth considering if Swaziland
accommodation is in short supply during the ever-popular Swaziland Reed Dance
ceremony. Where to Stay registers numerous Mbabane and Manzini self catering
accommodation choices as well as Mbabane and Manzini Guest house accommodation -
ideal for Swaziland overnight stays for South African tourists en route to The
Kruger National Park.

"We left Malelane in the Kruger National Park area for a long awaited game of
golf in Swaziland.......the much praised Nkonyeni Golf estate in Manzini
The trip took about two and a half hours and was well worth it..
Driving through Swaziland can be a bit of a pain with the endless speed bumps
and changing speed limits but Nkonyeni Golf Estate offered the perfect cure. The
thatched club house was pretty impressive and the Bed and Breakfast
accommodation was more than adequate. Perfect accommodation in "out of town"
Swaziland
The Nkonyenii golf estate was quite spectacular. Carved out of the African Bush
this golf course took no prisoners. Wide fairways long holes, manicured
conditions and deep potted bunkers were the order of the day......what a
delight.
For any golfing enthusiasts, this is definitely a big YES. The Swazi Spa golf
course in Mbabane seems to have lost it's appeal and has definitely taken a back
seat.
If you fail to find suitable self catering or B&B accommodation in Swaziland,
there are also private lodges on the Nkonyeni Golf Estate estate that can be
hired on a self catering accommodation basis.
Had two games of golf and left for Richards bay en route to Durban." - Avril and

Review - Swaziland accommodation in Manzini - The George Hotel in Manzini,
Swaziland
wheretostay.co.za/thegeorgehotel
On a recent conference to The George Hotel in Manzini Swaziland, my husband's
company included the spouses, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well
appointed Manzini hotel. The girls (and one guy), were treated to beauty
treatments at the George Hotel day spa, and delicious meals at the St Georges
Grill.
Besides interesting choices of typical Swaziland accommodation in Manzini
there's an abundant night life, and we had many enjoyable evenings at clubs such
as Cafe De Flore. We also spent a special evening at a great Portuguese
restaurant in Manzini called the Gil Vicente.
Another Swaziland attraction not to be missed is the House of Fire, where we
were stunned by some great local performances. The Swaziland Ezulwini Valley
(place of heaven), is also within 25kms of The George Hotel, and offers
alternate Swaziland hotel accommodation, restaurants, hot springs, casinos,
craft markets, art galleries, riding stables, a nature reserve, a golf course
and a cultural village.
Swaziland accommodation and activities are pretty underrated until you've been
there - for golf in Swaziland, rather visit the private golf course near Manzini,
it knocks spots off the old Royal Swazi Golf Course (Nkonyeni Lodge and Golf
Estate Hotel in Manzini)
