Milkwood is absolutely stunning! Peaceful & so relaxing. Has everything you need! A real hone away from home! Hosts are such wonderful people, loving, caring, kind. Amazing! Would LOVE to live here! We are very sad to leave on Friday :( Really thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Hubby caught 2 shad today as well. :) We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

A gorgeous little cottage, spotlessly clean with everything you need and so close to absolutely everything. It's easy access to the beach, and the tidal pool is just wonderful.

We stayed at Milkwood for 3 nights. However after the first night we already felt like we wanted to extend our stay. There's so much to see and do in the area. My son was thrilled to see whales and dolphins every morning. He would wake up early and rush out to sit at the gazebo watching for the whales and dolphins. The location of the cottage is right on the beach. The beach is clean and very private. We loved that. Lots to explore in the rock pools and the tidal pools were awesome for my 9 year old to splash in.
The cottage was rustic and immaculate. There was all the necessary pots, pans and crockery needed to prepare dinners etc. Such attention to detail. I was surprised to find that there were even dishtowels in the kitchen. I had packed my own.
The shower and toilette were clean. This is always my pet peeve and I felt comfortable with the cleanliness at Milkwood.
The bed was comfortable and clean bedding and additional blankets were provided. It rained on our last day there. Thank goodness for DSTV and all the channels available at the cottage. We had to go out for supplies occasionally and the shops and restaurants were close by. Since the cottage was fully booked, sadly we couldn't extend our stay. We definitely will be back. Thank you Wendy for everything!!!!

The overall stay rates 3/5 as there was renovations going on at the main house and we were not informed about it beforehand. We would give it 6/5 if there was no noise - not nice to want to relax on a building site. Wendy and Stan were very friendly and did not interfere whatsoever - definitely a place we would go back to if all the renovations are quiet. Len Page.

Wow, what a beautiful hidden gem! My daughters and I were fortunate enough to spend two nights at Milkwood Cottage earlier this year and it was stunning. The cottage was very comfortable and tastefully furnished with everything we needed. The owners have built a very private sun deck that is metres from the rolling sea. It's situated on a ledge about 15metres above the beach and one feels as though you have the entire ocean view to yourself. Dolphins could be seen diving through the waves and Champagne Rock Pool was a favourite swimming spot for us. You have your own access gate down to the beach too, which is accessed via a wooden staircase. The beaches are magnificent and one of best walks was to Christmas Bay, roughly 2kms walk along an unspoilt beach offering a myriad of rock pools to explore. We will definitely be back.
