The Pezula Golf Club & Championship Course was officially opened in 2001. It is part of the larger Pezula Private Estate, a luxury development that combines world-class golfing with stunning natural landscapes. The course was designed by renowned golf course architects Ronald Fream and David Dale of GolfPlan USA.
The goal behind Pezula's creation was to craft a top-tier golfing experience that would blend seamlessly with the surrounding beauty of Knysna’s coastal and forested terrain. Set on cliffs above the Indian Ocean, the course offers panoramic views of the sea, Knysna Lagoon, and the Outeniqua Mountains, contributing to its reputation as one of South Africa’s most visually striking golf courses.
Pezula Golf Club quickly gained international recognition for its challenging layout and exceptional setting, becoming a popular destination for both local and international golfers.

- Signature Holes: Some standout holes are situated near cliff edges, offering both challenging play and stunning ocean vistas. Hole 13, in particular, is a favorite for its dramatic coastal backdrop.
