Marble Hall

Marble Hall

The small town of Marble Hall is situated amidst a large farming area some160 kms to the North East of Pretoria. The Sekhukhune (Marble Hall) District is rich in both cultural diversity and history, and the Ndebele people are world famous for their colourful house painting, bead work and crafts. There are several restored cultural villages in the Marble Hall area where these may be seen. The area around Marble Hall encompasses a variety of tourist venues. Just a few kms to the South of Marble Hall is the Loskop Dam and Nature Reserve, and there are several other Nature Reserves in the vicinity. A well-known ostrich farm is to be found between Marble Hall and Groblersdal.

Visitors to Marble Hall can also tour the mining and farming industries by going on industrial and agricultural tours to local collieries and farms, while plant enthusiasts will find that the lanatus cycad is indigenous to the region and that acres of wild flowers like arum lilies transform the area into a magical garden during summer.
