The Vergelegen Wine Estate is situated in the beautiful Somerset West in the Western Cape in South Africa. This is truly one of the most beautiful wine farms in the Western Cape. It is well known and popular amongst locals and visitors from all over the world. The estate is open daily from 9:30am to 4pm. The Estate's Wines have earned more than 200 awards since 1999. There is so much to do and enjoy here from Wine Tours and Wine Tasting to Romantic Picnics. The Wine Tours are popular and enjoyed in groups. Here you will get to taste some of the farms finest wines. During the summer months, which is between November to April, the tours are held at 10:30am, 11:30am and at 3pm each day. During the cooler winter months, between May to October, the tours are only at 11:30am and 3pm each day. Bookings are essential.
The Picnic in the forest is another stunning way to relax with that someone special. Here you will be waited upon in the quiet of the tall trees. Come enjoy a romantic and intimate meal with superb wine to complete the occasion.

During November to April the Rose Terrace Bistro is open to the public between 10am and 4pm.

The Vergelegen Wine Estate also boasts a fine restaurant where you can sit back and enjoy a mouth-watering menu. Flavours that will tickle your taste buds. Meals are served outdoors in the warmer season and in the colder months, indoors with cosy fire places to keep you warm.
