Fresnaye

The sought-after suburb of Fresnaye lies high on the slopes of Lion's Head, between Sea Point and Bantry Bay, along a 10km stretch of coastline known as the Atlantic Seaboard, or millionaires mile. Fresnaye is a wind-free area well known for its sea and mountain views, proximity to white sandy beaches and easy access to Cape Town's city centre. Accommodation in Fresnaye comes in a variety of categories. Bed and Breakfasts in Fresnaye are popular, but for those wishing for greater independence a Fresnaye Self Catering option will do the trick.

Fresnaye is close to a number of walks and climbs in the surrounding Table Mountain, Devil's Peak, Lion's Head and Twelve Apostles ranges. The elegant neighbourhood is also within easy reach of Camps Bay and Clifton's beaches - popular with surfers and sun seekers, although the cold Atlantic current can make swimming uncomfortable, but doesn't appear to hinder anyone's enjoyment.

Fresnaye is only 5 minutes from the V&A Waterfront and the many attractions of the city bowl. You can choose between night spots along bohemian Long Street or promenade along with the trendy set in Camps Bay. The Meditteranean atmosphere here attracts many visitors and locals.
